This adobe home was built in 1905, when New Mexico was still a territory and Silver City was 27 years old.

La Cocina is a 1400 sq. ft., 1 bedroom home with an upstairs entertainment room (HDTV/ROKU and stereo).  It has been completely remodeled, we kept the original adobe walls, window/doorway locations, floors and roof structure.  There are 2 large double hung windows in every room providing great light and ventilation.  Adobe walls, new windows, a very quiet whole house A/C and furnace ensure a great nights sleep.  There is off street parking for 3 vehicles.

 

The bedroom has a king size bed with an articulating foundation with massage.  Bring your passwords to access your favorite programing like Netflix and Amazon Prime on the 40" smart TV in the bedroom.  The primary toilet has its own room.  The vanity and very large roll-in shower open to the bedroom, the shower is also a steam room with a corner seat.

There is a small North facing patio off the bedroom with 2 chairs and end table, enjoy the views of distant mountains with your drinks and snacks.

 

The living room has a memory foam sofa sleeper and two club chairs, easily seating 4 people. 

The dining room has seating for 6 people and the half bath is situated between the living and dining rooms. 

 

The kitchen has room for 3 people to easily work and have a couple seated at the counter testing food and beverages.  Kitchen has gas range, bottom freezer refrigerator with french doors, drink refrigerator, vegetable prep sink and large dish washing sink. A very quiet dishwasher, Kitchen-aid stand mixer and almost anything else you can think of. 

 

The outdoor kitchen and seating area is located just outside (South) of the indoor kitchen.  The large Weber natural gas grill with rotisserie, outdoor sink with water and drinking fountain, large wood fired pizza oven and concrete countertops will handle anything you want to do.  Comfortable seating up to 6 people.  The full southern exposure keeps you warm in the winter for that first cup of coffee and afternoon shade is provided by a Silkwood tree.  The water feature attracts birds and the occasional deer.
